What are my odds of winning the lottery?
The odds of winning is the probability that a lotto number combination will be the winning
combination drawn. To calculate the odds of winning the lotto game you play,
the formula is n!/(n-r)!r! In this case, n is the number field of the game (for pick 6 out of 53, n=53) and r is the bet size (for 6/53, r=6).
For example, the Florida Lotto 6/53 odds calculation would be 53!/(53-6)!6! or 53x52x51x...x1/(47x46x45x...x1)x6x5x4x3x2x1 = 22,957,480.
The odds of winning that game are 1 in 22,957,480, which are not very good odds. Try to find a lotto game to play with better odds.
